STEVENS POINT – The 15th-ranked Pointer women's soccer team played to a 0-0 double overtime draw on Sunday afternoon against the Maroons of the University of Chicago in nonconference action at the Point Soccer Bowl.

It is the first time this season the Pointers (14-1-1) have been held without a goal. It also marks the 13th shutout of the season for UWSP.

UW-Stevens Point held a 17-16 advantage in shots for the game.

Senior goalkeeper Liz Hunter (Stevens Point/SPASH) tallied three saves on the afternoon for the Pointers while her counterpart, Emma Gormley, stopped all six Pointer shots on net.

UW-Stevens Point, who secured at least a share of their third straight and 14th overall conference title Saturday thanks to a UW-Eau Claire loss, have one game remaining on the schedule. The Pointers travel to Eau Claire next Saturday, Oct. 30 for a 1 p.m. kickoff against the Blugolds.
