MADISON – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team lost 3-0 in nonconference action on Friday afternoon, falling to the Eagles of Edgewood College. The Eagles won 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.
The Pointers (13-6) hit .073 as a team on the evening, led by
Kati Rau (Dorchester, WI/Colby)'s eight kills in 24 attempts.
Chantel York (Lake Geneva/Badger) led the way with 18 of the team's 26 assists.
Morgan Bartkowiak (Slinger, WI/Slinger) tallied three service aces and
Molly Elderbrook (Burlington/Burlington) had a team-high nine digs.
The Eagles were led by Mallory Palmer's 17 kills in 41 attempts.
UW-Stevens Point return home to face UW-La Crosse on Wednesday, Oct. 6 in the team's annual Pink Night in support of breast cancer research. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
