STEVENS POINT-The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team lost 3-1 to UW-River Falls Saturday at the Berg Gymnasium. It was the Pointers first loss at home this season, as they are 7-1 on the season at home.
The Pointers rolled to a game one victory as they won the opening game 25-16. However, they dropped the next three games by scores of 19-25, 22-25, 17-25.
Leading the way for the Pointers was Christine Brinkman with 14 kills. Junior
Chantel York (Lake Geneva/Badger) finished the match with 37 assists and 11 digs.
Cassidy Kohlhagen and
Lizzy Taylor (Eau Claire/Memorial) also finished with double digit digs as Kohlhaugen had 14 digs and Taylor finished the game with 12.
The Pointers (16-11, 3-4) return to action next Friday when they host the UW-Stevens Point Triangular at the Berg Gymnasium. Their first match will be against UW-Stout at 3:00 p.m.
