SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team ran its way to an eighth place finish on Friday afternoon in the gold division of the 2010 Notre Dame Cross Country Invitational.

The 25th-ranked Pointers placed three runners in the top-32 at the 19 team event, led by an 11th place finish from Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna). Haen's time of 18:14 was 50 seconds off the event's top finisher from West Virginia University.

Elsewhere, Shaun Krueger (Kiel/Kiel) finished 29th with a time of 18:43, Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) finished 32nd with a time of 18:45, Kelsey Laska (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah) finished 75th with a time of 19:19 and Sarah Glunn (Arbor Vitae/Lakeland Union) finished 86th with a time of 19:32.

Also running at the event, Nikki Bruhn (Marshfield, WI/Marshfield) finished 107th, Abby Reynolds (Windlake, WI/Warterford Union) finished 113th, Erica Class finished 140th and Annie Olson (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater) finished 141st.

UW-Stevens Point returns to action October 9 at the Ripon Invitational.
