WHEATON, Ill.- This past Saturday the Pointer volleyball team took on Wheaton and Monmouth College in a triangular match.

The Pointer volleyball teamed dropped a tough match against Wheaton College. UW-Stevens Point won the first two games by scores of 25-17 and 25-21 but were unable to hold on and lost the final three games: 25-19, 25-13, and 15-13.
Christina Brinkman (Bristol) led the team with 13 kills and a .265 percentage.
Chantel York (Lake Geneva) led the Pointers with 27 assists and
Lizzy Taylor (Eau Claire) contributed with 19 digs.
Against Monmouth College the Pointers swept all three games by scores of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-12.
The Pointers had a balanced attack getting nine kills from
Erica Cota (Oshkosh) with a .438 percentage, eight from
Pam Nora (Forest Lake, Minn.), and seven each from Brinkman and
Michaela Rheineck (St. Paul, MN).
Kaitlin Wolfe (Roscoe, IL) led the team with 23 assists. Brinkman also led the team with 16 digs.
The Pointers return to action on Wednesday, September 23 when they travel to La Crosse to take on the Eagles at 7:00pm.
