Simmons went 3-0 at the 2014 UW-Whitewater Border Brawl for UW-Stevens Point, including wins against second-ranked Concordia-Moorhead and eighth-ranked Olivet. Against Concordia-Moorhead, Simmons topped #10 Kyle LeDuc. He then won 12-3 against Olivet’s Kyle Witgen.
