University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Mary Jean Cornelius, senior (West Bend, Wis., / West), provided the lone offense in a thrilling overtime victory against regional foe St. Thomas University.  The Pointers had 18 shots going into overtime with the score tied 0-0.  With three minutes remaining in the first overtime period Cornelius found the back of the next from 20 yards out to give the Pointers the win.  The game winning goal was Cornelius’s fifth goal of the season and 15^th point.
