Gehl posted a hitting percentage of .206 or better in all four of UWSP’s matches last week, all wins. She had double-doubles in three of the victories. In Wednesday’s sweep of UWO, she had 12 kills and 13 digs. On Friday, she had a double-double with 16 kills and 15 digs in a straight-set win over Illinois Wesleyan. She capped her week with 16 kills in a three-set victory over Millikin and had a double-double with 23 kills and 14 digs against Gustavus Adolphus. She totaled 66 kills, 50 digs, nine blocks, seven assists and seven service aces over the four matches.

Maddie Lawson, Volleyball
Lawson averaged 1.46 blocks per set last week in four UWSP wins. She had five blocks with a pair of kills in the Pointers’ sweep of UWO on Wednesday. She racked up seven blocks on Friday in a three-set win over IWU. On Saturday, she had seven more blocks in wins over Millikin and Gustavus Adolphus. In the victory against the Gusties, she hit .563 and had nine kills. For the week, Lawson had 19 blocks, 18 kills, three digs, two assists and two aces.
Gracie Wendels, Soccer
Wendels had a brace and netted the game-winner in UWSP’s win at UW-River Falls on Saturday. Her unassisted goal in the 22nd minute was her second game-winner of the year. She tied for the team lead with five shots at UWRF, four of which were on net.
Kaitlyn Hess, Soccer
Hess led a UWSP defense that recorded two shutout wins in league play last week. The Pointers allowed just two shots on goals to UW-Eau Claire in Wednesday’s win. She also converted the PK that was the eventual game-winning goal. On Saturday, Hess helped the Pointers stifle UW-River Falls’ offense in a 5-0 as the Falcons had zero shots on goal in the match. Hess added an assist in the victory over UWRF.
