University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Nieman racked up a career-high 21 saves in helping the Pointers stay within a goal of UW-La Crosse in the league opener on Saturday. Her 21 saves were the most by a UWSP keeper since 2016. She also made five saves in a win over Wheaton in non-conference play on Wednesday.

Bree Downie, Women's Golf
Downie posted an opening round 81 at the Mad Dawg Invite on Saturday just one shot off the lead. On Sunday, she secured a top-three finish with another solid round of 88 to help UWSP place third at the event.
 

Ashley Kopp, Volleyball
Kopp had double-doubles in all three matches for UWSP last week. She averaged 4.16 kills per set and had 20 of more twice last week. Her 23 digs in Wednesday’s five-set win at St. Catherine were a season high. For the week, she hit .220 over 13 sets and 150 attempts while adding two aces, two assists and seven blocks.
