LA CROSSE, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track and field teams competed in NCAA Final Qualifying meets on Saturday afternoon.

Lindsey Jossie (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) set the meet record and won the mile run with a time of 5:00.73 in La Crosse. Elida Nerothin (Madison, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.59. Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) leaped 1.65 meters to take third place in the high jump. Emma Groff (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) raced to a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.57.
 
Jorden Ukpong (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) recorded a heave of 17.00 meters to take second place in the shot put. Christopher Cullen (Kewaunee, Wis./Kewaunee) placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.56. Jack Gjovik (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines) leaped 13.80 meters in the triple jump to take fourth.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team of Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West), Ben Kempe (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH), Bennett Krause (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) and Simeion Harris (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich) placed fourth with a time of 3:17.13 at the Wartburg Final Qualifier.
 
Pointers will await potential NCAA at-large selections from qualifying marks and times.
