BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track and field team had one athlete,
Nick Tuchscherer (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH), compete in day one of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Results
Tuchscherer opened the NCAA indoor championships long jump with a mark of 6.98 meters. His second jump of the day was 6.57 meters. After a pair of scratches and qualifying for the finals, Tuchscherer repeated his first mark of the day, to finish in eighth place and earning USTFCCCA All-American honors.
Jorden Ukpong (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) participates in the men's shot put tomorrow (Mar. 14) at 11:00 a.m.
