RACINE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team was shut out by Lake Forest on Saturday, 7-0.
Ayden Knuth (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln) forced a super-breaker at No. 4 singles. He won the opening set, 6-4. He dropped the second set and came up just short in the super-breaker, 10-8.
Conner Kryscio (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) took his first set to a tiebreak at No. 2 singles. He fell by a 7-6 (3) score. He won four games in the second set.
Ben Temple (Rockford, Ill./Lutheran) won three games in each set at No. 5 singles. Knuth and partner
Dawson Froemming (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) won four games at No. 1 doubles.
The Pointers are back in action on Sunday (Feb. 22) against Loras and Ripon and 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Neenah.
