MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's volleyball team (5-7) was swept at MSOE (7-4) on Sunday in Milwaukee.
Ben Feld (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) was the only player to record double digits with a team-high 12 assists.
Hudson Dresen (Franksville, Wis./Union Grove) led UWSP with nine kills.
Dresen had a pair of kills as UWSP was behind, 5-2, early in the first.
Dylan Niznik (Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) added a pair of kills and
Nate Arndorfer (Lino Lakes, Minn./Totino Grace) had a block as the Pointers stayed close at 16-14.
Cael Bertrandt (Big Bend, Wis./Mukwonago) had a pair of kills late but MSOE pulled away for a 25-20 win.
Ethan Jetzer (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan) posted a pair of kills and Arndorfer added one and served an ace as the Pointers trailed, 13-10. Dresen had two kills late as the Raiders went up 2-0 with a 25-17 win in the second.
Jetzer and Dresen recorded two kills apiece early in the third as it remained close at 8-7. Jetzer and Arndorfer combined on a block but MSOE ended on an 11-3 run to finish the sweep, 25-13.
The Pointers head to Roosevelt on Friday (Feb. 20) for a 6:00 p.m. match in Illinois.
