UWSP to Induct 2010 National Champs into Athletics Hall of Fame on Jan. 9

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point Athletics has announced that the 2010 men's basketball national championship team will be inducted into the UWSP Athletics Hall of Fame in a ceremony on January 9, 2026.
 
The 2010 UWSP men's basketball team defeated Williams College on March 20, 2010 to earn the program's third Division III national title in the span of seven seasons. The Pointers finished the season with a 29-4 record, tied for the most wins in school history along with the back-to-back national championship teams of 2004 and 2005.
 
The Pointers were led by senior guard Matt Moses, who was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four. He averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game including scoring 22 in the championship game against Williams. He also earned First Team All-WIAC and All-West Region Second Team honors that season.

During the 2009-10 season, Moses led the team in scoring (14.7 ppg), made field goals (174), free throws attempted and made (104-116) and assists (85). He finished his career with 1,124 points, ranking him 20th on the all-time scoring list.

Head coach Bob Semling was the National Coach of the Year. Juniors Jared Jenkins and Louis Hurd also earned All-WIAC honors that season.
 
In addition to Moses, Jenkins and Hurd, the 2010 national championship team members were: Jordan Brezinski, Ross Forman, Jordan Giordana, Jerrel Harris, Scott Hoelzel, Brian Ironmonger, Nick Krull, Matt Resch, Vinny Ritchay, Evan Sweeney, Dan Tillema and Tyler Tillema.
 
Further details about the induction ceremony will be released at a later date. The 2010 championship team will also be recognized at the Jan. 10 men's basketball game against UW-Oshkosh.
