GREENWOOD, Ind. – UW-Stevens Point cross country/track and field teams had 10 athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) academic all-district teams, as announced Tuesday (Jun. 24). Seniors

Mike Brown (Butternut, Wis./Butternut), along with sophomores
Dean Montour (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and
Kansas Smith (Chippewa Falls, Wis./Chippewa Falls) received the honors from the men's side. Senior
Mariah Moehn (Chilton, Wis./Chilton), juniors
Natalie Johnson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) and
Brenna Steinagel (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) along with sophomores
Judith Meister (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) and
Lindsey Taylor (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) received the honors from the women's side.

Penzkover picked up his third-straight academic all-district nod. He competed in the NCAA championships in cross country, indoor track and field for the mile run and outdoor track and field for the 1500-meter run, finishing 107
th, 11
th (preliminary) and 15
th (preliminary), respectively. Penzkover posted new personal-best times in the mile run and 1500-meter run at the La Crosse Final Qualifier (Mar. 8) with a time of 4:08.83 and the Uncaged Eagle Open (May 9) with a time of 3:47.93, respectively. This season, he has picked up USTFCCCA All-Academic Team (cross country), USTFCCCA All-American Second-Team in the mile run (indoor track and field), USTFCCCA All-Region in the mile run and 800-meter run, second-team All-WIAC in the mile run, USTFCCCA All-American second team in the 1500-meter run (outdoor track and field) and USTFCCCA All-Region in the 1500-meter run.
Schleutermann earned his first academic all-district accolade. He ended the season ranked 39
th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:02.72 for the North Region. At the Titan Challenge (Feb. 22), Schleutermann recorded a new personal-best time in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:00.54. He finished 23
rd in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:07.45 at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). Schleutermann was named to the cross country WIAC All-Sportsmanship team this season.
Brown received his first academic all-district honor. He finished 25
th at the North Region Cross Country Championships with the time of 25:09.1, as well as being regionally ranked in the 5000-meter run and 10,000-meter run. Brown finished 12
th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 31:09.21 at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3) and 18
th in the WIAC Cross Country Championships (Nov. 2) with a personal-best time of 24:46.6. He is currently ranked ninth in UWSP all-time records for the 10,000-meter run. This season, Brown has received USTFCCCA All-Region and USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.
Montour earned his first academic all-district nod. He ended the season regionally ranked 23
rd (indoor) and 41
st (outdoor) in the 5000-meter run, 46
th in the 3000-meter run and 22
nd in the 10,000-meter run. Montour finished ninth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:02.66 at the WIAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 28-Mar. 1) and 13
th in the 10,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 31:10.06 at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). This season, he was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
Smith received his first academic all-district honor. He was regionally ranked 23
rd (indoor) with a mark of 13.61 meters and 27
th (outdoor) with a mark of 13.70 meters in the triple jump. Smith finished 13
th at the WIAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 28-Mar. 1) and 16
th at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3) in the triple jump. He recorded a personal-best jump of 13.70 meters at the WIAC Outdoor Championships.
Moehn picked up her second-straight academic all-district nod. She was regionally ranked 49
th with a mark of 37.72 meters in the discus throw and 37
th with a mark of 33.22 meters in the javelin throw. Moehn finished 11
th in the javelin throw and 17
th in the discus throw at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). This season, she was ranked second on the team in the discus throw and fourth in the javelin throw.
Johnson earned her first academic all-district honor. She was regionally ranked 24
th in the steeplechase with a time of 11:37.31. Johnson finished 17
th in the steeplechase at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). She was ranked second on the team in the steeplechase and is currently ranked ninth in UWSP all-time steeplechase records.
Steinagel received her first academic all-district accolade. She was regionally ranked 10
th in the javelin throw with a mark of 37.75 meters. Steinagel placed fifth in the javelin throw at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). At the Uncaged Eagle Open, she recorded a new personal-best mark of 37.75 meters in the javelin throw. Steinagel is ranked first on the team this season in the javelin throw and is ranked eighth in the UWSP all-time javelin throw records.
Meister earned her first academic all-district nod. She was regionally ranked 37
th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 39:49.69. Meister placed 16
th in the 10,000-meter run at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). At the Phil Esten Challenge, she recorded a new personal-best time of 39:49.69 in the 10,000-meter run.
Taylor picked up her first academic all-district honor. She was regionally ranked 25
th (outdoor) with a mark of 5.42 meters, 43
rd (indoor) with a mark of 5.21 meters in the long jump and 26
th in the javelin throw with a mark of 35.20 meters. Taylor placed seventh in the javelin throw at the WIAC Outdoor Championships (May 2-3). She posted new personal-best marks at the Dick & Mary Johnson Invite in the javelin throw with a mark of 35.20 meters and the Uncaged Eagle Open in the long jump with a mark of 5.42 meters. Taylor is ranked first on the team in the long jump and third on the team in the javelin throw this season.
