LA CROSSE, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track and field teams competed at the UW-Lacrosse Eagle Open.

The men had top-five finishes from Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls), Tyler Nosko (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka), Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West), Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake), Casey Ploederl (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville), Jack Marsh (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) and Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus).
 
Murphy stopped the clock at 14:54.29 in the 5000-meter run to secure a first-place finish.
 
Nosko placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.12.
 
Mead finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.08.
 
Penzkover took fourth place in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:47.93.
 
Ploederl posted a jump of 1.97 meters to take fourth place in the high jump.
 
Marsh had a throw of 52.04 meters to place fourth in the discus throw.
 
Rennhack took fifth in the shot put with a heave of 16.79 meters.
 
The women had top-five finishes from Makaela Malin (Monticello, Minn./St. Michael, Albertville), Brenna Steinagel (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) and Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere).
 
Malin took fourth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:54.77.
 
Steinagel finished fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 37.75 meters.
 
Zirbel had a jump of 1.59 meters to take fifth in the high jump.
 
The UWSP men's and women's track and field teams are back in action on Thursday (May 15) for the Augustana Midwest Twilight, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
