WIAC Release

Harwood lands her second-straight first-team honor. She is tied for the league lead with 15 wins. She tops the conference in appearances (36) and strikeouts (152). She made 20 appearances this season in which she did not allow a run against. She had double-digit strikeouts in two games, including a career-high 14 in 6.2 innings against New England. She pitched in 12 games against teams in this year's NCAA Tournament. In March, she was named WIAC Pitcher of the Week twice. Last season, Harwood was a NFCA Freshman of the Year finalist, WIAC Newcomer and Pitcher of the Year.

Klicker picks up her fourth league honor and second-straight honorable mention team accolade. She leads the Pointers in hitting at .354. Her five home runs are a team-best and she tops the team in hits (45), triples (3) and runs batted in (27). She has stolen 15 bases this year and is tied for the school record with 58 career steals. She had 12 multi-hit games this season and was named WIAC Position Player of the Week in early March.

Smith garners her first career honor after a stellar freshman campaign. She hit .278 for the season, but was second on the team during league play upping her average to .314. Smith started all 40 games and is fourth on the team in both hits (35) and RBI (19). She hit her only home run of the season in WIAC play at UW-La Crosse. This season, Smith had 12 multi-hit games, six of which were against conference teams. Smith earned WIAC Position Player of the Week honors the final week of the regular season.

Zipperer lands on the all-sportsmanship team after playing in 32 games this season. She had three starts and nine at-bats. Zipperer swiped six bases in seven steal attempts. She scored nine runs on the season.

The Pointers open NCAA Tournament play on Thursday (May 15) against Central at 1:30 p.m. in Oshkosh. It is just the second back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in program history (1998 and 1999).
