Seven Swimmers Earn Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving team had seven swimmers named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) academic all-district team, as announced Tuesday (Apr. 1).  Seniors Mya Baselt (Sheldon, WIs./Flambeau), Kyler Ernst (Fountain City, Wis./Luther), Madeline Krzykowski (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln), Beckett McGraw (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) and Jack Weber (Appleton, Wis./West) along with junior Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) and sophomore Will Nicol (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) received the honors.

Baselt picked up her first academic all-district nod. She swam in 12 meets this season, posting personal-best times in three different events. Baselt has been named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in the 2023-24 school year.
 
Ernst earned her third-straight academic all-district honor. She competed in 12 meets this season, recording a personal-best time in the 50-yard freestyle at the WIAC Championships and finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke at the WIAC Championships. Ernst has received WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll honors in 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. This season she was the WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 13-19.
 
Krzykowski received her first academic all-district honor. This season, she competed in 12 meets, recorded personal-best times in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly at the WIAC Championships. Krzykowski has been named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in the 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.
 
McGraw earned his second-straight academic all-district nod. He swam in 12 meets this season and recorded a personal-best time in the 1650-yard freestyle at the WIAC Championships. McGraw has been named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.
 
Weber received his second-straight academic all-district honor.  He competed in 12 meets and recorded a personal-best time in the 50-yard freestyle at the WIAC Championships this season. Weber was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.
 
Scheglowski earned her second-straight academic all-district nod. She competed in 11 meets this season and was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay that finished third at the WIAC Championships. Scheglowski was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll last season.
 
Nicol picked up his first academic all-district honors. This season, he swam in 11 meets, recording personal-best times in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM. At the WIAC Championships, he had three individual top-five finishes and was a member of both relay teams that finished third.
