STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's volleyball team (16-6) earned a 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-14) win over Maranatha Baptist (0-12) on Thursday night in Berg Gym.
Rikhil Patidar (Waukesha, Wis./South) led all players with a season-high 10 kills and seven digs.
Ethan Jetzer (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan) added nine kills and
Gabriel LoGalbo (Stevens Point, Wis./Three Lakes) had six.
Josh Brogren (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) led all players with 13 assists.
Caleb Palmer (Littleton, Col./Chatfield) had four kills and an ace as the Pointers moved in front, 12-7, in the first. Palmer had two more aces late and Patidar got his first kills as UWSP ended the set on a 9-1 run.
Patidar had three kills as the Pointers took a 10-4 lead in the second.
Cael Bertrandt (Big Bend, Wis./Mukwonago) had two kills and an ace late and LoGalbo had his second-straight set-clinching kill to put UWSP up, 2-0.
Jetzer and Patidar had three kills apiece as UWSP opened the third with a 14-9 advantage. The duo had two more kills each as the Pointers finished the sweep.
The Pointers travel to Iowa to face Loras on Wednesday (Mar. 12) at 6:00 p.m.
