ROCHESTER, N.Y—The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field had one compete on day one of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) finished seventh in the mile run preliminary round with a time of 4:11.28, just missing the qualifying time for finals.
 
Ian Lillquist (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) and Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus) will compete Saturday (Mar. 15) in the triple jump and shot put, respectively, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
