BROWN DEER, Wis. — The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams both remain in third place after day two of the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's). The men have a total score of 237. The women have a total score of 193.
Day Two Results
The men were led by
Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South),
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) and
Will Nicol (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port).
Trant claimed the one-meter dive conference title with a final score of 502.55.
Barwick placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.58.
Nicol took third in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:53.91.
The 400-yard medley relay team of
Scott Jenn (Madison, Wis./Memorial), Nicol,
Kody Hellenbrand (Madison, Wis./East) and Barwick finished third with a time of 3:25.91.
The women were led by
Rose Hansen (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) and
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia).
Hansen took the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.07 to claim the conference title.
Ambre placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:08.26.
The 400-yard medley relay team of
Kyler Ernst (Fountain City, Wis./Luther),
Lilly Featherstone (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community),
Kasey Fris (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) and Ambre took third with a time of 3:58.15.
The Pointers return to the pool tomorrow (Feb. 21) for day three of the WIAC Championships, preliminaries begin at 10:00 a.m. and finals begin at 6:30 p.m.
