STEVENS POINT, Wis. –
Ayden Knuth (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln) got a super-breaker win as the UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team fell to UW-La Crosse in non-conference play, 6-1.
Knuth overcame a first-set loss, 6-4, to take the second set by a 7-5 final. He prevailed in the super-breaker with a 10-8 decision.
Knuth also paired with
Malcolm Rice (Marion, Iowa/Linn Mar) to win at No. 1 doubles, 6-4.
Rice won seven games at No. 4 singles, falling, 6-3, 6-4.
Dawson Froemming (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg),
Anthony Janes (Bismarck, N.D./Legacy) and
Jacob Stinski (Oshkosh, Wis./West) won four games each at No. 1, 3 and 5 singles, respectively.
UWSP will close out the fall with a home match against St. Norbert on Oct. 18 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
