GREEN BAY, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team ended its fall slate with a 4-3 win against St. Norbert on Saturday.
Conner Kryscio (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) and
Augie Nelson (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./Jacobs) got a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles, but the Green Knights took the doubles team point.
Kryscio needed a third set to win at No. 2 singles. He came up short in the first set, 7-5, but rebounded for 6-1 and 6-3 wins in the second and third sets.
Anthony Janes (Bismarck, N.D./Legacy) also needed a third set to get the victory at No. 4 singles. Janes fell in the first set, 6-1. He took the second set, 6-1, and won the third set, 6-2.
Jacob Stinski (Oshkosh, Wis./West) got a straight sets win at No. 5 singles, 7-6, 6-1.
Ayden Knuth (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln) earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
Malcolm Rice (Marion, Iowa/Linn Mar) battled to a tough loss at No. 3 singles, 7-6, 7-6.
Dawson Froemming (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) fell at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
