STEVENS POINT, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams take six events on day one of the Point Invite. The UWSP men are in second with a score of 420. The women are in third with a score of 273.50.

The men are leading the way with
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest). Barwick along with
Jacob Biscan (Edina, Minn./Edina),
Peter McMahon (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) and
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:25.49.
Barwick won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.38, with Biscan and Loy finishing right behind with times of 47.76 and 48.52, respectively.
Ryan Trantham (Mackinaw, Ill./Deer Creek Mackinaw) finished the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:54.90 to take first place.
Will Nicol (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) posted a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.24. Nicol finished the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:59.07 to take second.
Kody Hellenbrand (Madison, Wis./East) won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:57.93.
Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) rounded out the men's first-place finishes with a final score of 534.10 in the one-meter dive.
The women are led by
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia). Ambre took second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:26.03.
Ambre along with
Rose Hansen (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids),
Kyler Ernst (Fountain City, Wis./Luther) and
Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) took second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.75, just .39 seconds behind first-place.
The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams are back in action tomorrow (Jan. 25) for day two of the Point Invite. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. with preliminaries, 12:30 p.m. with diving and finals at 4:00 p.m.
