STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team sent its seniors out with a dominant, 32-6, win over visiting Carthage on Thursday.
 
Aidan Fonder got the Pointers on the board with a major decision win, 15-2, at 133. Riese Thornberry (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) followed up with a major decision win of his own, 18-7, at 141.
 
Maddox Rye (Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) earned a 5-2 decision win at 149 to put UWSP in front, 11-3. Senior Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) took a 4-0 decision win at 165.
 
Carson Trotzer (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) pinned his opponent at 174 in just 1:03. Easton Hull (Waupun, Wis./Waupun) followed with a 9-3 decision victory at 184.
 
Logan Neitzel (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) got a third period fall (5:48) at 197. Senior Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) closed out the night with a 7-2 decision win at 285.
 
UWSP will head to the Pete Willson Invitation on Jan. 31. The two-day event starts at 11:00 a.m.
