OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams swept UW-Oshkosh in a league dual on Friday night. The UWSP men won 164-77 while the women earned a 131-111 victory.
Results
For the men,
Campbell Sullivan (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Wyatt Gross (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community),
Scott Jenn (Madison, Wis./Memorial) and
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) finished first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:39.26. Barwick,
Jacob Biscan (Edina, Minn./Edina), Dave Anderson and
Beckett McGraw (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:27.89.
Barwick won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.32, more than a second faster than the second-place finisher. Gross won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:04.89. Biscan was first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.31.
Ryan Trantham (Mackinaw, Ill./Deer Creek Mackinaw) topped the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:24.15, nearly a full minute faster than the runner-up. Trantham also won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 56.14.
Mason Releford (Vacaville, Cal./Vacaville Christian) took first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:03.71.
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.63.
Will Nicol (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.82.
Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) scored 303.00 to win the 1-meter dive. He also took first place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 329.85.
For the women,
Kyler Ernst (Fountain City, Wis./Luther),
Mimi Trenary (Moline, Ill./Moline),
Kasey Fris (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) and
Rose Hansen (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:53.93. Hansen, Ernst,
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) and
Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.93.
Hansen was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.35. Ernst won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.87.
Lilly Featherstone (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) edged out Trenary by 0.05 seconds to win the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.19.
The Pointers are back in action tomorrow (Jan. 18) with a 2:00 p.m. ET dual at Northern Michigan.
