PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team was the top finisher of the seven teams at the Lakeland Scramble on Sunday.
Results
Angelica Torres Lima (Oaxaca, Mexico/Maine East) won the 124 bracket. She won an 8-6 decision and a 10-0 tech fall on the day.
Kaylei Sanford (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) won the 145 bracket. She had three wins, all by fall over foe from Iowa Lakes CC.
Taylor Schulz (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) took second in the 160 bracket. She earned three wins, one each by decision, fall and injury default.
Savanna Millermon (Wilson, Wis./Glenwood City) was second in the 103-110 bracket. She earned a win by fall.
Teagan McKinnie (Buckeye, Ariz./Verrado) placed fourth in the 180 bracket. She picked up a win by decision and another by fall.
Metadel Edwards (Two Rivers, Wis./Two Rivers) took sixth in the 131 bracket She got a win by fall.
The Pointers are next in action at home with a 6:00 p.m. dual against Carthage on Jan. 23 in Berg Gym.
