CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The No. 17 UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team split duals on the final day of the NWCA Multi-Division National Duals. The Pointers fell to Lock Haven, 25-21, before ending the day with a 38-9 win over Adrian.
Results
Kelly Enriquez (Waukesha, Wis./South) started the day with a win by tech fall at 103 against LHU.
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) won by forfeit.
Alaina Sunlin (Monticello, Iowa/Monticello) and
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) both pinned their opponents at 117 and 138, respectively.
Cadie Percy (Windsor, Colo./Windsor) and
Tabitha Breitrick (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) each earned a team point.
Enrriquez got the dual against Adrian started with a win by forfeit. Winecke, Sunlin and
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) earned wins by fall.
Makenna Hanke (Theresa, Wis.) got a forfeit win. Schuenemann won by fall.
Anna Strand (Appleton, Wis./Xavier) and
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) each won with 10-0 tech fall victories.
The Pointers will send wrestlers to the Lakeland Scramble on Sunday (Jan. 12). Action starts at 12:30 p.m.
