CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The No. 17 UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team came up short in both duals on Friday at the NWCA/USMC Multi-Divisional National Duals. The Pointers fell to Presbyterian by a 35-9 score in the opener. Then in the consolation bracket, UWSP dropped a 30-11 dual to Emmanuel.
Results
Tabitha Breitrick (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) earned the only win against PC. She pinned her opponent at 180.
Kelly Enriquez (Waukesha, Wis./South),
Allison Hunter (Merrill, Wis./Merrill),
Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) and
Jade Herzer (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) all earned a team point in the dual.
Against EU, Adams and Herzer each won 10-0 tech falls at 124 and 207, respectively. Enriquez,
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) and
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) all picked up a team point in their bouts.
The Pointers conclude action in Iowa on Saturday (Jan. 11) with duals against Lock Haven at 9:00 a.m. and Adrian and 12:00 p.m.
