Krishna Nets Game-Winner Under 30 Seconds After Entering Match

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (5-3-2) picked up a 1-0 non-conference win over UW-Stout (2-8-0) on Wednesday night.

Arun Krishna (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) netted his second goal in as many matches. On Wednesday, his goal was the game-winner and came less than 30 seconds after entering the match as a substitute. His 36th-minute goal was assisted by Cameron Jochimsen (Freedom, Wis./Freedom).

Neither team was able to generate much offensive attack as the match featured 34 fouls and just five combined shots on goal.

UWSP goalkeeper Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) recorded the clean sheet and needed to make just a single save. Stout's goalkeepers Max Kutz and Lucas Lang combined for three saves.

The Pointers travel to UW-River Falls on Saturday (Sept. 28) for a non-conference match at 3:00 p.m.
