MONMOUTH, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (2-1-3) posted its third shutout in the last four matches in a 0-0 tie at Monmouth (2-2-1) on Thursday.
UWSP goalkeeper
Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) made all six saves he faced to record his second shutout of the season. Five of his saves were made in the second half.
Monmouth used a tandem of goalkeepers with Alejandro Zamarripa making five saves in the first half and Luis Villa with two saves in the second half.
The Scots nearly spoiled Havlik's shutout bid as the home side rang a shot off the post in the final minute of play.

The Pointers return home to face Northland on Saturday (Sept. 14) with a 12:00 p.m. kickoff at the UWSP Turf Facility.
