ST. PAUL, Minn. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (2-1-2) suffered its first defeat in program history with a 3-2 loss at Hamline (6-0-0) on Tuesday.
Owen Zikowski (Racine, Wis./Union Grove) put the Pointers in front in the 39th minute with an unassisted goal, the first of his college career.
The lead was short-lived as the host Pipers pulled even with just 53 seconds left in the first half.
Hamline took the lead in the 54th minute as UWSP faced its first deficit on the road this season.
In the 60th minute,
Keegan Bell (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) registered his first career goal to pull the Pointers level.
Devin Wilkerson (La Crosse, Wis./Central) notched his first career assist on the tally.
HU took the lead again in the 80th minute and held on for the win to stay undefeated.

Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) made five saves in the match. Hamline goalkeeper Max Henderson had four saves.
The Pointers remain on the road travelling to Illinois on Thursday (Sept. 12) to take on Monmouth. Kick off is set for 3:30 p.m.
