Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and
Ian Lillquist (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) put a close on the season for the Pointers on the final day at NCAA Outdoor National Championships Saturday evening.
Results
In the finals of the 800-meter run, Gilles finished with a time of 1:49.86 to take a close-knit sixth-place finish. He managed to stay close within the pack of runners until the final stretch, finishing 1.21 seconds behind the leader.
Gilles earns his second All-America honors in the 800-meter and is the only Pointer to log All-America honors in both indoor and outdoor this season.
Lillquist finished with a top jump of 14.39 meters (47' 2.5") in the triple jump with an 18
th place finish. His final jump of 14.23 meters (46' 8.25") fell just short of the top eight.
