NFCA Release
Harwood adds the all-region nod to a litany of honors she already received this week. The WIAC Newcomer and WIAC Pitcher of the Year winner, Harwood led the Pointers to a 32-9 season and the first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007.
She was also a member of the All-WIAC first team and racked up a 14-3 record with three saves. She posted a minute 1.04 earned run average in 101.1 innings pitched. Harwood had 122 strikeouts and issued just 20 walks. She started 21 games, made 30 appearances and pitched in eight of UWSP's 11 shutouts this season.
Harwood tossed back-to-back no-hitters against Wisconsin Lutheran (March 29) and St. Norbert (April 9). She extended her hitless streak to 12 innings from March 21 to April 10.
She made eight-straight appearances against WIAC foes without allowing a run from April 20 to May 3. Harwood was named the WIAC Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 22-28.
Harwood and the Pointers saw their season end on Friday with an NCAA Tournament regional defeat to Westminster (PA).
