INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 19 UW-Stevens Point softball team (32-7) is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007. The Pointers will face Mount Union (32-8) in Angola, Ind., in the opening round of the regional hosted by Trine (39-3). Westminster (PA) (26-12) is the fourth team in the bracket.

UWSP is the No. 2 seed in the bracket and will face Mount Union for the first time in program history.
Sophomore pitcher
Ashley Zygowski (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) leads the country in appearances with 36 and saves with a school and conference record 15 this season. She is 11-3 with a 1.38 ERA.
Freshman pitcher
Morgan Harwood (Neenah, Wis./Neenah), who tossed consecutive no-hitters this season, is 14-2 with a 0.86 ERA, the ninth-best in the country this season.
The Pointers have racked up 109 stolen bases as a team this season, a program record. UWSP is just the fourth team in WIAC history with 100 or more stolen bases in a season.
Senior
Sara Traxel (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) holds the school record with 57 career stolen bases. Junior
Jesse Klicker (Spring Grove, Ill/Richmond-Burton Community) is second in school history with 43. Freshman
Kaitlyn Roberts (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) is 19-for-19 in steals this season and leads the Pointers with a .374 average and four home runs.
