WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams opened the outdoor season at the Rex Foster Invite as both men and women took 2^nd place.
 
Results
 
For the men, Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus) led the way for the Pointers with a first-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 16.07 meters (52' 8.75"). He also contributed a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.62 meters (166' 01").
 
Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West) earned a first-place victory in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.84.
 
Deezle Richards (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Parker) logged a first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.40.
 
In the jump events, Casey Ploederl (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) and Tre Sanda (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Parker) each tacked on a first-place finish. Ploederl took first in the high jump with a height of 1.95 meters (6' 4.75"). Sanda earned a first-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.68 meters (21' 11").
 
Cade Ravenscroft (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) took first in the javelin throw with a heave of 52.42 meters (172' 0") to round out the first-place finishes for the men.
 
For the women, Guadalupe Corn (Keshena, Wis./Menominee Indian) headlined the Pointers, taking a first-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.63 meters (41' 5.25"). She also added a third-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.05 meters (144' 6").
 
Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) earned a first-place victory in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:44.76.
 
Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) worked her way to a first-place win in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.06 to wrap up the first-place finishers for the women.
 
The Pointers will travel to Platteville for the Platteville Invite on Friday (April. 12).
