UW-Stevens Point men's wrestlers
Trystan Altensey (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) and
Riese Thornberry (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) were named National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-Americans, the organization announced on Wednesday (April 10).

Altensey earns the award for the second-straight year. He went 19-14 this season and placed fifth at the Upper Midwest Regionals. Seven of his wins came by fall.
Thornberry picks up the honor for the first time. He went 17-13 and placed seventh at 149 at the Upper Midwest Regional. He won eight matches by fall this season.
Altensey and Thornberry qualified for the honor by placing in the top-8 at the regional and having a cumulative GPA over a 3.20.
