DULUTH, Minn. – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at UW-Superior on Saturday.
Hayden Schreier (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) got UWSP's lone win at No. 6 singles taking the match by a 6-4, 6-0 score.
Steven Benoy (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) battled to a 7-5, 7-6 (5) loss at No. 1 singles.
Conner Kryscio (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) took his No. 3 singles match to a super-breaker. He won set one, 6-1, before dropping the second set, 6-2. Then in the super-breaker, he came up short, 10-8.
Luca Hettstedt (Marbella, Spain/German School Marbella) played tough at No. 4 singles. He fell in the first set by tiebreak, 7-6 (3). In set two, he fell, 6-3.
Dominik Hendrickson (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie) played to a 7-5, 6-2 loss at No. 5 singles.

Frederick Diehl (Minneapolis, Minn./Academy of Holy Angles) fell at No. 1 doubles, 8-5.
The Pointers travel to Bethel on Friday (Feb. 23) for a 6:00 p.m. match.
