KENOSHA, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team won one bracket and had runner-up finishes in three other brackets at the Carthage Classic on Saturday.

Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) won the 110 bracket going 3-0 on the day. She earned a decision win her first bout of the day. She won both the semifinals and finals by tech fall.
 
Cadie Percy took second in the 138 bracket. She posted a pair of 10-0 tech fall wins. Anna Strand (Appleton, Wis./Xavier) was fifth in the bracket with two wins.
 
Madi Zube (Viroqua, Wis./Viroqua) was second in the 160 bracket. She had a 9-6 decision win in the semifinals.
 
Kate Riege (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) placed second in the 207 bracket. She had one win by fall and one win by decision.
 
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) got two wins by fall to take third in the 124 bracket.
 
In the 131 bracket, Makenna Hanke (Theresa, Wis.) finished fifth after earning four wins in the consolation side. Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) had two wins by fall in the bracket. Metadel Edwards (Two Rivers, Wis./Two Rivers) had one win by fall in the bracket.
 
The Pointers will return to action at the North Central Open on Dec. 15. Action is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.
