STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The No. 18 UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team dropped a 25-20 closely contested dual against No. 25 Wartburg on Thursday.

Kelly Enriquez (Waukesha, Wis./South) got the Pointers on the board with a win by fall at 103. Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) got a win by forfeit at 110 as the Pointers took a 10-0 lead.
 
Rose Ann Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) dropped a 5-2 decision, but scored a team point at 117. Ngao Shoua Whitethorn (River Falls, Wis./Apple Valley) also got a team point in a 14-11 decision loss at 131.
 
Elly Janovsky (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) needed just 45 seconds to pin her opponent at 145. Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) earned an 8-4 decision win at 160 as UWSP took a 20-15 lead with two bouts remaining.
 
The Pointers will be back in action on Saturday (Dec. 7) at the Carthage Classic beginning at 9:00 a.m.
