Breitrick, Winecke Take First at UWEC 8 Women Battles

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The No. 18 UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team had two winners at the UWEC 8 Women Battles contested on Saturday.
 
Results
 
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) went 3-0 and won the 110 bracket. She won by fall twice and once by tech fall.
 
Tabitha Breitrick (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) won the 180 bracket, also going 3-0 on the day. She had two wins by fall and one by decision.
 
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) finished second in the 138 bracket. She had three wins, two by fall and one by tech fall. Lynnia Doss (Beachwood, Ohio/Beachwood) got a win by tech fall and another by fall to place third. Cadie Percy won four times, two by tech fall to take fifth.
 
Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) was second in the 131 A bracket. She had two wins, one by fall and one by tech fall. Makenna Hanke (Theresa, Wis.) took third with a pair of tech fall wins.
 
Metadel Edwards (Two Rivers, Wis./Two Rivers) got third in the 131 B bracket with two wins, one by fall. Shaina Hyre (Lawrenceville, Ill./Lawrenceville) was fifth in the bracket.
 
Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) had a win by fall and another by tech fall to place third at 124. Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) was sixth in the bracket with two wins, one by tech fall. Angelica Torres Lima (Oaxaca, Mexico/Maine East) earned two wins, one by tech fall, to come in seventh in the bracket.
 
Elly Janovsky (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) won twice by fall at 145 to place third. Kaylei Sanford (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) got one win by fall to place sixth.
 
Savanna Millermon (Wilson, Wis./Glenwood City) won once by fall to take fourth in the 110 bracket.
 
Marna Andre (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) took fifth in the 207 bracket. She got three wins, two by fall. Teagan McKinnie (Buckeye, Ariz./Verrado) got a 5-4 decision win to place seventh.
 
Abbey Boersma (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) got a win by fall at 160 to place sixth. Taylor Schulz (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) took seventh with two wins, one by fall.
 
The Pointers will host Wartburg in a 7:00 p.m. dual in Berg Gym on Dec. 5.
