PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (8-7-4, 1-4-0) wrapped up the regular season with a 4-0 loss to UW-Platteville (12-1-3, 4-1-0).
The Pointers mustered just four total shot attempts with
Jack Hudson (Delafield, Wis./Arrowhead) and
Marcelo Chavez (Verona, Wis./Verona Area) each record one on net.
UWSP held the Pioneers off the board until the 32nd minute and trailed just 1-0 at the break.
The Pioneers broke the match open with three goals in the second half.
UWSP goalkeeper
Jacob Havlik (Onalaska, WIs./Onalaska) had eight saves to keep the Pointers within striking distance most of the match. UWP goalkeeper Seth Aiken made two saves for the win.
The Pointers will travel to UW-Whitewater on Wednesday (Nov. 6) in a first round matchup in the WIAC Tournament.
