INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team is headed to Indiana for the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships, the NCAA announced on Sunday (Nov. 17). The Pointer men make their return to the NCAA Championship race for the first time since 2010 when UWSP finished sixth.

The Pointers were one of 22 at-large teams added to the field of 32 teams that will compete in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday (Nov. 23).
UWSP finished fourth at the North Regional contested on Saturday (Nov. 16).
Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) finished 15th with
Mike Brown (Butternut, Wis./Butternut),
Ryan Rininger (Wauconda, Ill/Wauconda),
Mateo Alvarado Venegas (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) and
Derek Penzkover (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) all placing in the top-45 at yesterday's regional.
The Pointers will race in the NCAA Championships at 12:00 p.m. ET at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terra Haute, Ind.
