DECORAH, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team got a bracket win by
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) at the Luther Open on Saturday.
Results
Winecke went 3-0 in the 110 bracket winning all three bouts by shutout tech fall. Teammate
Alaina Sunlin (Monticello, Iowa/Monticello) took second in the bracket earning two wins by fall and once by decision.
Rose Ann Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) was second in the 117 bracket. She had three 10-0 tech fall wins on the day.
Allison Hunter (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) was seventh in the bracket getting a win by tech fall and two by fall.
Kelly Enriquez (Waukesha, Wis./South) took third in the 103 bracket. She had three wins, one each by tech fall, decision and fall.
Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) finished fifth in the 124 bracket with five wins, two by tech fall and two by fall.
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) was seventh also winning five times, three times by tech fall.
Brianna Derouin (Menasha, Wis./Menasha) got a win by fall and
Angelica Torres Lima (Oaxaca, Mexico/Maine East) won once by decision in the bracket.
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) was fifth in the 160 bracket. She had five wins, four by tech fall.
Abbey Boersma (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) had two wins in the bracket, one by fall.
Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) placed seventh in the 131 bracket. She had five wins, two by fall.
Shaina Hyre (Lawrenceville, Ill./Lawrenceville) had two wins in the bracket, one each by tech fall and fall.
Metadel Edwards (Two Rivers, Wis./Two Rivers) got a win by fall.
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) got seventh in the 138 bracket. She got four wins, all by fall.
Anna Strand (Appleton, Wis./Xavier) was eighth in the bracket with three wins.
Tabitha Breitrick (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) took seventh in the 180 bracket. She had five wins on the day, two by fall and two by decision.
Elly Janovsky (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) got two wins by fall in the 145 bracket,
Kaylei Sanford (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) had one win by fall in the bracket.
UWSP will travel to Oshkosh on Saturday (Nov. 16) for the Titan Duals beginning at 11:00 a.m.
