INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The WIAC regular season champions UW-Stevens Point baseball team will host an NCAA Tournament Regional for the second-straight season after the Pointers (29-11) were selected with an at-large bid, it was announced Monday (May 15). UWSP is the top seed in the regional and face Augustana in the opening game at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (May 19). The other two teams in the Stevens Point Regional, Webster and Loras, will play at 1:30 p.m. at Zimmermann Field.
The Pointers will be making their 18th NCAA Tournament appearance and second in as many years. UWSP won last season's NCAA Regional and advanced to the College World Series finishing third in the nation.

Saturday, May 20
Game 3 – Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 8:30 a.m.
Game 4 – Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 12:00 p.m.
Game 5 – Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4, 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 21
Game 6 – Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5, 11:00 a.m.
Game 7 – Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 6 (if necessary), 45 minutes after Game 6
Tickets for all games will be available at the gate.
The Pointers are an at-large bid after winning the WIA regular season title for the 11th in school history. UWSP's opening game opponent, Augustana (38-7), claimed the automatic bid from the CCIW after winning both the regular season and tournament title. Webster (30-14) was an at-large selection after reaching the SLIAC Tournament finals and winning the SLIAC regular season title. Loras (21-19) won the American Rivers Conference Tournament and will be playing in the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament.
The team that wins the regional will advance to next weekend's Super Regional round against another regional winner at a to-be-determined site.
