JOLIET, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field team had five runners compete in events on Saturday in the second day of the St. Francis Fighting Chance meet. All finished in the top-7 of their respective events.
Results
Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay, Wis./Big Foot) had the best finish on the day taking second in the 800-meter run.
Mackenzie Johnson (Cumberland, Wis./Cumberland) placed sixth in the 400-meter dash.
Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) tied for sixth in the 400-meter hurdles.
On the men's side,
Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) finished sixth in the 800-meter run.
Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West) came in seventh in the 400-meter dash.
UWSP will compete at the Augustana Midwest Twilight on Thursday (May 18) in a final attempt to reach qualifying standards for the NCAA Championships.
