ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team posted nine rounds in the 80s over the two day Viking Invitational to finish sixth out of eight teams.

Top UWSP Individual:  Tess Bruner (Wausau, Wis./West), Bree Downie (Hortonville, Wis./Hortonville), Kate Downie (Hortonville, WIs./Hortonville) and Jenny Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) all tied for 17th with a two-round score of 168. Marshall had the lowest round among the quartet on Saturday with an 80.
Notables: Andrea Tietz (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) tied her career-best round on Friday with an 85. She placed 33rd.

Top Team: Host Augustana ran away with the team title defeating UW-Platteville by 29 strokes.
Top Individual:  Augustana's Avery Frick won the individual title edging teammate Kelsey O'Connor by two strokes.
