DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team won the St. Norbert Invitational on Saturday. UWSP's women were second.
Results
For the men,
Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus) won both the shot put and the discus throw events. His fellow thrower
Andrew Durham (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) was first in the hammer throw.
Chris Kalies (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) took first in the 400-mere dash. In the 800-meter run, Josh Jumbeck finished first.
Maverick Lange (Oswego, Ill./East) was the winner in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
Both relays for UWSP were victorious as well. The 4x100-meter relay of
Andrew Vold (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln),
Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West),
Caleb Carter (Lisle, Ill./Lisle) and
Chance Jampole (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) had a winning time of 42.97.
Noah Rosas (Franklin, Wis./Franklin),
Tyler Vincetich (Beloit, Wis./Janesville Parker),
Conor McCoy (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) and
Canon Siedschlag (Marshall, Wis./Marshall) posted a time of 3:33.13 to take first.
On the women's side,
Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City) came in first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:03.26.
Makenzie Lueck (Walworth, Wis./Big Fort) took first in the hammer throw at 44.91 meters (147' 4"), more than 2.5 meters further than the runner-up.
The 4x100-mter relay team of
Adyn Theriault (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson),
Shelby Klobucar (La Crosse, Wis./Logan),
Salina Warren (Westfield, Wis./Westfield) and
Chloe Dettmers (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) placed first with a time of 51.53.
The Pointers travel to Whitewater for the WIAC Championships beginning on Friday (May 5) at 2:30 p.m.
