STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The weekend's weather forecast has forced the UW-Stevens Point baseball team's home opener up a day as the series with visiting UW-Whitewater will now begin on Friday (April 14) with first pitch set for 1:00 p.m. at Zimmermann Field. The Pointers and Warhawks will play a doubleheader on Friday.

The series will continue on Saturday (April 15) with a tentative start time slated for 10:00 a.m. with another twin bill scheduled.

UWSP (13-8, 4-4) racked up a season-high 21 hits in an 18-7 win at St. Norbert on Wednesday, the third game in the last four that the Pointers have racked up double-digit runs. The Warhawks (15-4, 6-2) come to town ranked #12 in the latest D3baseball poll and have won their last four games with double-digit runs scored in all four.
