UW-Stevens Point men's wrestlers Trystan Altensey (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) and Brandon Peckham (Plainfield, Wis./Tri-County) were named National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-Americans, the organization announced this week.

Peckham picked up the honor for the fourth-straight season. This season, Peckham returned for his fifth year and went 31-9 with four wins by fall. He finished fifth at the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Regional.
 
Altensey earned the award for the first time in his career. He posted a 27-15 record this season with 12 wins by fall on the year. He took fourth at the NCAA DIII Upper Midwest Regional and was fifth at the WIAC Championships.
 
Altensey and Peckham qualified for the honor by placing in the top-8 at the regional and having a cumulative GPA over a 3.20.
